I was drawn to this song by the melody and the fact that I understood a good portion on listening alone, without needing to look words up.

When trying to translate the title to a good English title, I ended up pulling up news reports which used the phrase about the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami off the coast of Sendai in March 2011. The song was released before the disaster and doesn't relate to it, but it helped me understand the tone behind the title.

Notes:

I struggled with 「逃げたくなんかない」 until just now before posting. 逃げる means to run, to escape. くなん means suffering, distress, hardship, trial. かない means (my) wife, inside the home, one’s family. I thought someone was running away from a suffering family, but I mistakenly over looked the desire form.

This is why checking one more time before posting is a good thing!
